What are we looking for?

Business Systems UK Ltd (BSL) are looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to be part of its Southern Support Team, based in the City Office on London Wall and covering an OSE role at a large multinational bank in the City of London in cases of absence.

The main purpose of the role is to provide field support to BSL’s customer base, installing, configuring and maintaining the company’s portfolio of products as well as providing cover for onsite support of a Nice Trading Recording (NTR) system at a large multinational bank located in the Liverpool Street area carrying out system checks, system administration and system maintenance.

Standard hours of work will be between 08:00 to 18:00 on a shift basis and you will be required to work a reasonable amount of regular paid overtime as well as participate on 24hr callout rota.  When covering the OSE role the hours of work will be 08:00 to 18:00.

Who do we want to hear from?

Bright, responsible, self-motivated customer-facing Engineers with the confidence to manage customers on a daily basis. In addition, the following attributes, skills and experience:

  • Experienced engineers with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a support role (external customer facing).
  • Excellent hardware skills - knowledge of building, installing and maintaining servers.
  • Excellent software skills – in-depth knowledge of installing and configuring Windows operating systems and bespoke 3rd party software applications.
  • Excellent networking skills – installation and troubleshooting
  • Excellent proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to create written reports
  • Current UK Driving License.
  • Flexible attitude to work - prepared to work overtime as and when required.
  • Stable career history – no job hoppers or contractors

Knowledge of Call Recording systems, WFM, Telecoms, SQL and experience of working in and/or supporting Financial Institutions or Contact Centres would be very desirable.
