What are we looking for?

Business Systems UK Ltd (BSL) is looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to be part of its Support Team based either from our City of London Office or from home but with frequent travel to customer sites.

The main purpose of this role is to provide field support to BSL’s customer base, installing, configuring and maintaining the company’s range of products. 
We are ideally looking for someone with proven experience with Nice Call Recording or WFO systems including NTR, NIM and Engage with all relevant certifications. 
We are looking for someone that also has proven IT support skills covering as wide a range of technologies as possible but are primarily looking for the right mind set – a logical thinker who can analyse, diagnose and resolve issues with minimal assistance. 

Standard hours of work will be 09:00 to 17:30 and you will be expected to work a reasonable amount of regular paid overtime. 

Who do we want to hear from?

Bright, self-motivated customer-facing Engineers with the confidence to deal with external customers on a daily basis. In addition, the following attributes, skills and experience: 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working within an IT field support role (external customer facing)
  • Excellent software skills – installation and configuration of operating systems on both desktop and servers including Windows 7 and 10, and Windows Server  2003, 2008, 2012.
  • Excellent hardware skills - building, installing and maintaining servers.
  • Excellent networking skills – installation/configuration of networks and troubleshooting
  • Excellent proven problem solving skills.
  • Highly desirable skills would include experience on other Voice Recording products as well as general telephony and VoIP.  
  • Other desirable skills would include Virtualisation, Microsoft SQL, Clustering knowledge and some basic programming skills would also be of benefit. A knowledge of Workforce Management solutions would also be considered beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Current UK Driving License. 
  • Flexible attitude to work - prepared to work overtime and travel to customer sites throughout the UK and Europe, stay overnight when required and sometimes at short notice and participate in a 24 hour support rota.
  • Stable career history – no job hoppers or contractors

Knowledge of SQL, Telecoms, Voice Recording and experience of working in and/or supporting Contact Centres or the Financial sector would be very desirable.
