Mobile Phone Recording
Overview
There are two well defined methods of recording mobile phones which are, ‘On-Premise’ recording and ‘Hosted’ recording; each method has specific advantages.
- ‘On-Premise’ recording means that the call from the mobile phone will be recorded automatically onto a customer’s existing corporate recording platform.
- ‘Hosted’ recording means that the mobile phone call will be recorded and stored in the Telecom network with replay and management control functions provided via the web.
FSA requirements for mobile call recording are to be announced in the 4th quarter of 2010 and Business Systems recommend that anyone looking to purchase systems to comply with the expected mandate should take special note of the ‘Compliant Phone’ recording licence arrangements which are available for both ‘on-premise’ and ‘hosted’ offerings.
